has jointly founded Red Monday as Managing Director, focussing on introducing Red Monday services across all market segments. Andrew joins Red Monday with nearly 27 years experience in the corporate sector in a variety of sales and management roles. Most recently he was with a Commonwealth Bank & Woolworths joint venture, Cyberlynx as National Commercial Manager, Business Development, prior to Cyberlynx he was at Optus, as a Corporate Sales Manager where he spent 10 years focusing on large corporate sector. Prior to Optus he held a variety of business development and management roles in the property industry, small business and paper distribution.

Scott Smiles - International Business

Scott has had over 20 years experience in Government (Austrade) and commercial sectors in a number of critical GCC and Asian states.  Scott’s Extensive network in business and government sectors in Australia, parts of Asia (China, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore) and the Middle East include major GCC banking institutions such as the HSBC, the Arab,  Standard Chartered and Mashreq Banks as well as leading Dubai based commercial conglomerates such as the Al Futtaim and Al Ghurair groups.  On a recent visit to the Middle East, Scott also met key officials within the emerging Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and the Dubai International Financial Exchange (DIFX) to discuss local capital market developments and IPO listing procedures.  

Achievements

  • Established and quickly consolidated Dubai as a key Austrade Post in the Arab world between 1986 and 1989, from which humble beginnings it grew to a major regional office
  • Presenter at Invest Australia seminars in Beijing, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Frankfurt and New York during 1993-1994
  • Non executive Director of ASX listed Investment AustAsia Investment Limited (BOT toll road and bridge projects and Badaling Great Wall Cable Car operations in China)
  • Introduced the underwriter in advance of the listing of Cabonne Limited (integrated wine company), secured a State Government Business Development Grant and subsequently served as that company’s Australasian Sales Manager
  • Working with Geoff Harrington & Co (GHC), have recently brought over 20 new ‘counter parties’ (lawyers, accountants, bankers, VC’s, high net worth individuals) into relationship with GHC.
  • Working with a GHC colleague completed a successful capital raising for an Australian sporting goods manufacturer
